August 8, 1959 ~ August 28, 2022 (age 63)

Cheryl Lynn Ruoss age 63 of Oxford, PA, passed away on Sunday August 28, 2022 at home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Michael S. Ruoss, Sr. for 29 years. Their Wedding song was "I Cross My Heart", by George Strait. She was the Loving mother of Dakota Ruoss, Sr. (Kerstin), Michael S. Ruoss, Jr. both of Oxford, PA, Step-daughter Lisa Ruoss of Kennett Square, PA, devoted and loving daughter of Beulah Gentry Johnston of Oxford, PA, and her father the late Earnest Hall and her stepfather the late Passmore Johnston, Jr. Loving Grandmother of Kaylah Butler and Maddison Ruoss both of Kennett Square, PA, Aubrie, Cheyanne, Dakota, Jr, Savanna Ruoss all of Oxford, PA. Loving sister of David Johnston (Nancy) and Shawn Johnston (Vanessa) both of West Chester, PA and Darlene Strunk (Jack) of Oxford, PA. She was predeceased by her Maternal Grandparents Grace Lovings Gentry and Issac Gentry, Sr and her Paternal Grandparents Lolita Atwell Peterson and Rosevelt Hall.

The love of Cheryl's life was her Children and most of all her Grandkids.

Cheryl enjoyed making Crafts, Dream Catchers, Ear Rings, Christmas Ornaments, Flower Arrangements, Yard Sales, Flea Markets and working on the Family Tree work for30 years. She was a member of the Russlleville Grange #91 where she served as Lecturer and was responsible for the Community Day, Christmas Wreaths Sales, Grange Yard Sale and setting up Programs For Grange Members. She was also a member of the Chester-Delaware Pomona Grange #3. She started the Facebook Groups of Kennett Square Pa, Oxford, PA and Landenberg, PA Yard Sales and the Southern Chester County Garage Sale. She helped organize a Yard Sale to raise $5,000 for His Mission Kennett Square, PA. She was a leader of Cub Scout Pack at Mary D. Lang School of Kennett Square, PA where she was also a member of the PTO. She loved to go to Cherokee, NC and go to Powwows.

Cheryl worked at Isaac Gentry Green Houses of Avondale and West Grove, PA, J.J. Newberry's and Jamesway of Kennett Square, PA and Selling Avon from Home.

Family and friends are invited to the Visitation on Saturday September 10, 2022 from 9:30am to 10:50am at the Kennett Square Missionary Baptist Church 408 Bayard Road Kennett Square, PA 19363 where her Funeral Service will follow at 11am. Interment will follow in the Oxford cemetery 220 N. Third Street Oxford, PA 19363
